Agreements/Other Instruments concluded between Bangladesh and the Netherlands

1. Letter of Intent amongst Minister for Water Resources of Bangladesh and Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands & Minister for Infrastructure and the Environment of the Netherlands on Cooperation in the field of Land Reclamation and Accretion in Bangladesh, signed on 16 June 2015.

2. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) amongst the Government of Bangladesh, Government of the Netherlands, International Development Association and the International Finance Corporation concerning Collaboration on formulation and implementation of Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100, signed on 16 June 2015.

3. Framework of Intent between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on Partnership for Knowledge and Innovation for Sustainable Development signed on 15 June 2015.

4. Contribution Arrangement between the Government of Bangladesh and the Government of the Netherlands on the Formulation of Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100 Project signed on 24 March 2014.

5. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Minister for Planning of the Government of Bangladesh and the Minister for European Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on cooperation in the field of sustainable delta management, integrated water resources management, disaster management and adaptation to climate change with special reference to the development and implementation of a Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100, signed on 22 May 2012.

6. Administrative Arrangement of the Blue Gold Program signed on 20 February 2013. Under this arrangement, the Dutch development cooperation is to provide financial and technical support for integrated and sustainable economic development by improving the water management and production in selected polders of Bangladesh.

7. Financing Agreement signed on 27 January 2013. Under this agreement, the Government of the Netherlands is to provide €1.36 million to the Government of Bangladesh as Grant Aid under the ORIO program for the “Rehabilitation Water Management Infrastructure Bhola (Development Phase)” project.

10. Letter of Intent (LOI) between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on Training Cooperation for Junior Diplomats from Bangladesh, signed on 4 November 2015.

11. Bilateral Cooperation Agreement / Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Saxion University of Applied Sciences and BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology, signed on 4 November 2015.

12. Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between Saxion University of Applied Sciences, School of Creative Technology and BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology, signed on 4 November 2015.

13. Convention between the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income, signed in Dhaka on 13 July 1993.
